We got up at our usual time of 0600, had breakfast downstairs then packed up & headed off to Glen Rose, TX. There are dinosaur footprints preserved in the Paluxy riverbed. This time I'd used Charlie's computer to get directions the night before. Turns out they weren't perfect so we stopped at a hotel and finally got the right directions! Got a nice tour of Glen Rose, though. |

0900 - 82 degrees and humid! I'm glad we didn't find this place yesterday afternoon, it would have been too hot!
<-- There were only 2 other people there when we were, the picture shows the stepping stones allowing access to the other side of this part of the river. |

Preserved footprints of an Acrocanthosaurus, a carnosaur related to the T-Rex. Brochure says he could run about 5 miles an hour. How fast can you run? |

You can see some footprints next to the larger holes in the picture to the right.
They took the best sequence of footprints out of the riverbed & put them in their little museum down the road, unfortunately it was closed on this day! |
