The sea used to come up further, there's some glare on the map, but you can see that most of Texas was under water, and the area of Glen Rose was the shoreline.

The pic to the right is the "Blue Hole." When I looked from up above it didn't seem too difficult to get there. Ha! I climbed, slid, and scrambled my way to the site! I fought off wild bushes and spiders hanging from the edges! The Acrocanthosaurus footprints are preserved by the water. Needless to say by the time I climbed back up I was very hot & sweaty! But I would have liked to have stayed here for a while, it was quiet, no human sounds, just the sound of the river and the life around and in it. A fish jumped while I was standing there quietly, but didn't get a good look at it.

I got tired of changing the font everytime I started to type, so I'm just letting the default one take over!

We headed back thru Granbury to stop by Charlie's store in Wetherford (their football team beat us in one of the State semifinals :( one year) to see him one more time before hitting the road.

More Texas scenery and some more of those rolled up hay bales. Haven't quite figured out the logistics for those!

1045 - We got gas in Granbury and headed off to see Charlie.

1235 - We've been to the enemy's lair, Wetherford! As we were looking for the WalMart we drove past the new high school they're building - very impressive! Temp is 94 degrees. We're on I-20 headed to Ft. Worth to pick up I-35 North, which separates into East & West, yep, 35 North becomes 35 East and 35 West. East goes thru Dallas and West goes thru Ft. Worth and they converge just around Denton, back into I-35 North.

1409 - We are now in Oklahoma, temp 97 degrees.

1550 - We have reached Oklahoma City, temp 101 degrees. This is where we're going to pick up the Turner Turnpike & head NE toward Tulsa to spend the night.
